About

Made In Ink

A business I started so I can own the whole of my work.

Why I Write What I Write

I've always been drawn to the parts of human experience that don't resolve cleanly — grief that doesn't heal, desire that doesn't make sense, violence that doesn't come with a lesson. Most fiction flinches at the last moment. I try not to.

Dark fiction isn't about shock. It's about honesty. The monsters in my books are stand-ins for real things: addiction, shame, the slow erosion of who you thought you were. I write about them because I think they deserve a full accounting, not a metaphor that keeps its distance.

My influences are writers who refused to look away — Cormac McCarthy, Shirley Jackson, Angela Carter, Toni Morrison. What they share isn't genre or style. It's a willingness to sit with discomfort long enough to find something true inside it.

About the Imprint

Made In Ink is an independent imprint I started because I wanted full control over how my books are made — the covers, the paper, the typography, the price. Every book is designed to be an object worth keeping.

There are no investors, no marketing department, no algorithm to answer to. Just the work.
